OMITC Academy has now started a brand training facility at Se- quele, Luanda.

Goal:

Our goal is to create a closer and more efficient relationship with leading suppliers in the Maritime Oil & Gas industry by cons- tantly delivery better value for money through geographical ex- pansion and using innovation to expand our portfolio of training service solutions. Our goal is to make Operatec Academy’s Opera- tion’s competitive and available to the indigenous populace and operators in general.

The training center’s project was supported by a partnership with a NMCI – Nautical Marine College of Ireland based in Cork that includes the following areas:

  1. Facilities and equipment design to meet international stan- dards
  2. Course Materials
  3. Training for trainers’ qualification and assessment program
  4. Quality Management System support
  5. Consultant for the OPITO accreditation process
Activity:

Development in emergency response skills for the employee to handle dangerous situations on-board of offshore units and ha- zardous work in onshore environments

Strategy:

Support the man power activities with a continuous competency & skills development of our valuable work force.

ABOUT OMITC ACADEMY

OMITC Academy is a segment of Operatec group that was founded in 2013 to provide HSE and Technical training for the Oil & Gas segment

OPERATEC’s OMITC Academy is working in accordance with Decree No. 38/09 of August 14, pursuant to law No. 10/04, November 12 Law for oil activities (MINPET), in rticle no. 23 of principles to promote the safety, health and hygiene at work with companies

OMITC Academy started with its initial training facility in Cabinda at the ESS Industrial Village, a mere 4 kilometer ride from the Chevron’s Malongo facility. The academy was started address logistical issues of the O&G community and with the intend to be able to offer courses to a larger group of participants who work in Angolan territory.
